Wells Area Partnership seeks to involve as many people as possible to ensure that WAP is representative of a wide cross section of the community.

Everyone can be involved in one-way or another.

To get the ball rolling we have set up working parties (forums) – to look at specific areas of interest.  So far we have established housing, youth, business and health forum and are in the process of setting up a learning, environment, transport, sport & leisure forum.
These groups are open to everyone and their role is to look at the issues and needs relating to their area of interest.

Being a member of Wells Area Partnership opens you or your group up to many opportunities and offers you the chance to:

• Be part of an influential network of people
• Take part in action to help your community or group
• Work in partnership with a range of voluntary and statutory organisations
• Be in a position to negotiate, lobby and discuss ideas at all levels
• Share your expertise and receive help with a wide range of issues from funding advice to training volunteers
• Vote at the AGM (and Steering Group if you become a focus group Chair)
• Be the first to receive news updates

Membership is FREE and is open to all individuals, groups, organisations both voluntary and statutory such as Parish Councils, sport and youth groups, GP Surgeries, businesses, schools and people with a passion for their community.
