Virtual Business Support Project for North Norfolk
Wells Area Partnership has been working with Stuart Hutcheson
from North Norfolk District Council to help him promote a Virtual
Business Support project that he is running across the area.
Buying and using computer applications is a major part of
owning any business. If you’re just starting up, though,
it can be daunting - not to mention expensive! The Virtual
Business Support project is designed to help people in rural
areas access free business training and support.
The project recognises that the Internet opens up North Norfolk
to markets worldwide, but many small businesses don’t
have the knowledge they need at the moment to make IT work
for them. That’s where Virtual Business Support
can help. The project is aimed at anyone who is either at the
beginning of setting up a small business (they may only have
the idea at the moment) or who are in their first or second
years of a new business.
Stuart the project co-ordinator, has been providing training,
lending laptops, web cams and other IT equipment and software to
help would-be entrepreneurs and business start-ups to harness
the benefits of information technology. He ran a workshop and
information day in Wells on the 14th Nov and is keen to help
as many entrepreneurs and small business in Wells as possible.
